An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.
These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later released.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
